So...thankful...for a warm bed...

Do you ever stop to think...when you crawl under the covers at night...that not everyone has a warm bed to call their own.  Yes...I often find myself sharing my bed with a 7 or 2 year old...and...you know what...I don't want it any other way.  Warm beds...soft sheets...I am so thankful my family has these to crawl into every night.  I...no we are very blessed!!!  It is amazing how much we take for granted...

Let us all try to not take so much for granted.  Lets try very hard!

We read this book last night...it is always nice to have a few moments to share with the littles.  It was very sweet.  Josie was showing Parker how to count all the native americans and pilgrams.  Then...we finished the story and Parker grabbed the book and hit Josie over the head with it.  LOL...keeping in real...

TGIF...toodles until next time

So Thankful for You...My Family...

Yesterday, my kiddos woke up to a lil' surprise...nothing fancy and kind of silly since it was the day after Halloween...why did I ever think giving them candy on November 1st was a good idea...lol

Anyways...It was just a lil' note that went like this...

I am so Thankful
              for you...

My (first born, baby girl, or lil' man)

I love you to pieces...

                          Mom

And, it included a bag of Reese Pieces all clipped together with an adorable turkey clothespin.  I should have took a picture...

Well I say all that to say I am so very thankful for my family.  From my immediate family to my extended family.  I love you all...and, I am truly blessed to have each of you in my life.

Well we had company last night.  My crockpot decided to randomly turn off sometime yesterday.  Needless to say dinner didn't go as planned...but, what does.  We still enjoyed good company with wonderful loved ones, and I did manage to feed them despite lots of problems (like my microwave deciding to stop working too...thank goodness my Mom lives next door!).

As for the book I posted yesterday...it is adorable...and full of information.  Did you know that a squirrel's tail gets thicker in the fall/winter so that it can use it as a blanket and pillow?  I do now...

Tonight...we have a fun Turkey felt poster to color, and we will take the Halloween gel clings down and put up our Thanksgiving clings.  Then we will be reading this book.

I let you know how we like this book too.  Oh, and I will probably be back a little later for some reviews on somethings we have tried lately...

But...for now...toodles

November...the month of Thanksgiving

November is the month of Thanksgiving.  I have so much to be thankful for.  Lets spend the month counting the ways...  First, I am so thankful for a Loving and Forgiving God.  The freedom to believe in him, and the faith I have in him.  What are you thankful for?

Here is a cute printable from Chuck E. Cheese that the kids can use to share what they are thankful for.

Tonight we are having company for dinner...I have a roast with potatoes and carrots in the crockpot...yummy...

When it is time to settle down for the night we will be reading this book.  (I will let you know tomorrow how the little liked it.)

Ok...just so you guys know...I am NUTS!!!

I am a little obsessive compulsive when it comes to holidays. I remember growing up...we always did something fun when my parents were off for a day. Well as you know yesterday was President's Day. I unfortunately had to work. However, we still celebrated when I got home. We made oreo truffles (yes, I know this has nothing to do with President's Day...but they are yummy.) Then we colored some pages about President Washington, Lincoln, and Obama. We even did a dot to dot of President Obama's face. Well I also ordered a few new books just for the holiday. Someone please tell me you bought new books for President's Day too. Please....

This book was very cute. It is about how the class puts on a play for President's Day. It is a series and I hope to get more of them.

Well here are the other Holidays I am currently planning for.

March 2-Dr. Suess's Birthday

March 8-Mardi Gras (anybody got a good recipe for a King Cake)

March 17-St. Patrick's Day (ordered a new book yesterday)

March 20-First Day of Spring (also, my oldest son's birthday)

April 1-April Fool's Day (I like goof my kids)

April 22-Earth Day

April 24-Easter

Yeah...I am nuts...but hey...we all have our own weirdness. Right?

Speaking of Easter...here is a cute giveaway that would be perfect...
